Elevated temperature thermal properties of advanced materials used in <scp>LSF</scp> systems

Lightweight cold-formed steel (CFS) construction solutions are increasingly adopted in low and mid-rise buildings. Many different materials used to construct CFS wall systems, without a full understanding of their thermal properties. For many these materials, only ambient temperature properties available from manufacturers. This creates difficulty classifying the for use at elevated temperatures. In this study, series property tests measure specific heat, conductivity, mass loss was conducted range building wallboards, insulation, phase-change (PCMs), Australia several other countries.
